MEC Burlington Race 2016 Information
Kick off the spring season with MEC Burlington’s second race of the year. The Trailblazer edition is always fun for the whole family or the seasoned vet.
Many people like this race because it is not your traditional road race but rather a technical run. Most people don’t like to do technical snow running, so this is going to be many people’s first technical run of the year.
There will also be Bananas, Clif Bars and Nunn Tablets The finish line.
Custom medals will be made for the top 3 overall finishers in each distance.
There will be three different routes, distances and difficulties for you to run. As the distances get longer the trails become more technical.
These trails will include roots, rocks, mud, slippery areas, narrow dirt trails and more.
We are sure that you will enjoy these difficult courses but if you are in the mood for something more mild, the 3.75k distance is a gravel path which is perfect for new trail runners.
This is a casual gravel path trail which does a full loop. It has only slight uphill and downhill areas and is great for the whole family.
This trail will be for more experienced trail runners. There will be obstacles, rough terrain and moderate hills.
This is for the very experienced technical runner. Make sure you have proper trail running shoes because this will be a very tough trail. It will consist of 11.5km’s of uphill, downhill, narrow paths, rocks, mud, roots and other obstacles.
It is also by far the most rewarding trail if you are up to the challenge.
