The Balanse BumRun
The Balanse BumRun is a 5km race which raises awareness for colorectal cancer.
The Balanse BumRun is a very young and new race but over the past couple of years has been growing in size and amount of money raised.
This year’s will mark the 5th years they have been raising money for the Kensington Screening Centre, The Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada, St Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation, GIFT, Colon Cancer Canada and more.

The BumRun is a 5km walk/run event which happens in the downtown core of Toronto.
The course follows a route around the University of Toronto.
It starts at Queen’s Park Circle, goes down College Street, Spadina Avenue, Bloor Street and finally onto Bay.
The streets will be blocked off to traffic for this race so you shouldn’t have to worry too much about cars and street lights.
Race day : April 24th, 2016
Start time: 8 AM – Must be at the starting line no later than 7:40am
Location : Queen’s Park, South Side of Legislative Buildings
Transportation : Make sure you remember that the subway does not open until 9am on Sunday but other TTC transportation like busses do.
Participants : 500-1000
The BumRun Location is at Queen’s Park Circle. It is located just south of the Royal Ontario Museum at Bloor Street West and Avenue Road/Queens Park.
BumRun Race Kit Pickup
Make sure to pick up your kit ahead of raceday. There will be no race day pickup.

Pick up time :
- Friday April 22, 2016 from 12 noon to 7pm
- Saturday April 23, 2016 from 10am to 5pm
Race kit includes a Balanse BumRun T-Shirt and a Bib Number with timing chip.
I.D for pickup : Valid government photo ID, and if you are a team you must assign one person to pick up all race kits for the entire team. Remember there is no race day pickup
There is street parking and public parking lots all located within a 10 minute walk of Queen’s Park.
You will need to pay for these and please if you are driving just remember that this is Toronto and give yourself at least 30 minutes extra to avoid missing out.
