Whether you are in it to win it or are just looking for a relaxing day the Beaches Spring Sprint is a fun time for a good cause.  Start your Spring season off with a spring in your step and get out there.  We have braved the Canadian winters and we have shoveled enough snow for a lifetime and now it is time to celebrate.

We all know how different our amazing city is in Winter and Summer and every year for 29 years running the Beaches Spring Sprint has helped ring in the end of Winter and the beginning for Spring for all of us.

Whether you are a yearly participant, new to running, a seasoned vet or just want to come out and meet everyone we welcome you to come join us for a healthy and fun day of running, awards, raffles, entertainment and more and to meet all of us.

29th Anniversary Spring Sprint, 5 km run/walk for adults at 9:30 am; 2 km run for kids/seniors at 10:30 am. Awards following at the Balmy Beach Canoe Club. Registration will take place at the Beaches Recreation Centre late March and beginning of April. No registration day of the race. To volunteer please send an email to

Race Information

The 29th annual Beaches Spring Sprint is a 5km race.  You can run or walk and there is also a 2km race for children and a 2km walk for seniors.

Enjoy one of Toronto’s most laid back neighborhoods and start the season with a Spring in your step!

Registration for the Beaches Spring Sprint opens up in late March and the Beaches Recreation Center.  Spend a day in one of your favorite local neighborhoods this year.

Course Information

The start and finish line is situated at the foot of Silver Birch Avenue, just east of the Balmy Beach Club, in front of the Silver Birch boathouse. The route goes west along the Boardwalk and then east coming back along the Martin Goodman Trail and the Boardwalk to the finish line.

    Where do we park ? just on the side of the street ? just wondering. thanks,

      Hello Ian,

      Parking will either be in the street or in any of the private of municipal parking lots. There is no designated parking lot for this event that I know of. If you find any good spots please let us know so we can update our race profile for next year.

      Otherwise as with all parking in Toronto the key is to arrive very early to find a spot. Parking can be very hard to find everywhere but since the Beaches are a bit farther out you should hopefully have an easier time.
